OSHC TRAINEESHIPS

 

Have you heard about the TeamKids Traineeship Program? It’s where eligible and enthusiastic employees can complete a Diploma of School Age Education and Care (CHC50221) while working a guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week with us.

This self-paced study program is in partnership with Nationally Registered Training Organisations across Australia. It offers employees the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge to take responsibility for the overall planning, implementation, and management of an Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program.

The program is designed to be flexible and can be completed in 18 months (or up to 3 years depending on progress), with the support of trainers and TeamKids traineeship supervisor/s.

All eligible applicants will receive paid study time each week, while gaining an Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) recognised qualification. By completing this qualification, employees are open to numerous opportunities for career progression in OSHC.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must:

• Have availability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
• Not hold any education-based qualifications of Diploma level or above
• Not be considered an ‘existing’ TeamKids employee (someone who has worked more than 3 months in a FT role or 12 months in a PT or casual role)
• Hold full ongoing work rights in Australia for the duration of the traineeship
