The beautiful artwork above by Jenny Laidlaw says so much. Right now, we are in rough seas. But there is light on the horizon… let's hold onto that as a COMMUNITY.

Whilst most sectors have been heavily impacted by COVID-19, it's still business as usual for TeamKids and our Holiday Programs and we're here for you. Our commitment to your families and keeping all your children safe and happy is our number one priority.

Until we are told otherwise by the regulatory authorities and specialists in this field, we will continue to offer our Autumn Holiday Program that we know will excite, engage and entertain in these times of uncertainty.

That being said, some of our venues have already closed due to school closures. We will keep you informed via our website and email of any closures. For alternative venues near you please visit our venue locator.

Families experiencing any financial hardship but need care can access additional funding through Child Care Subsidy. This will allow you to continue to use TeamKids even when times get tough. For more information click here.

TeamKids will not be running any excursions during the Autumn Holiday Program. This decision is based on current recommendations and health advice regarding COVID-19 and is in the best interests of protecting children and staff during this time.

Where excursions are timetabled, we will be replacing them with FUN and EXCITING activities to keep children engaged and safe these school holidays.

We are in uncharted waters and it’s going to be an long journey, but it will have an end point.

Write it down, call a friend, do what you need to communicate how this situation is affecting you. Connect in fun ways… make videos, draw a picture and story book, especially for grandparents who may be feeling isolated and fearful right now.

Beyond Blue have provided some very helpful wellbeing advice if you have feelings of anxiety, distress and concern (as many people may be experiencing) in relation to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). It can be found here: beyondblue.org.au/the-facts/looking-after-your-mental-health-during-the-coronavirus-outbreak.

We are in this together.

Protecting the health and wellbeing of our children, families, and staff is our highest priority.

We are being proactive in how we are managing the rapidly evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. These are the steps we’re taking to help keep members of the TeamKids family safe and healthy.

  • We’ve established a COVID-19 Health & Wellbeing Task Force who report directly to our GM & CEO on COVID-19 updates daily.
  • We’re in regular contact with state government health departments and are closely monitoring health updates from a variety of experts to ensure we are well prepared.
  • We are working with our partner schools’ and other large providers in the sector to ensure we are well informed and prepared for action.
  • We have prepared a wide range of materials, advice and policies and procedures for our educators and teams to keep them informed and well prepared.
  • We continue to boost our hygiene practices, including disinfecting high-touch surfaces like door handles, light switches, benchtops, plus regular handwashing for children. Our staff have been trained in good personal hygiene and uphold good hygiene of the children in their care.
  • We have well-defined policies and procedures that determine how we operate our venues. We have been adapting these based on the latest government advice and have also created a specific plan to enable our centres and support teams to respond to the COVID-19 situation if the need arises.

This page will be updated regularly with the latest health information. If you have any questions, please email us at info@teamkids.com.au

Dear TeamKids Families,

The safety and well-being of everyone who attends a TeamKids Before, After and Vacation Care service is our number one priority. We’re closely following all advice received from Australian medical authorities, the World Health Organisation (WHO), as well as receiving regular updates from the Department of Education and Training (DET) in relation to COVID-19.

We are committed to taking any and all action as requested to protect your families and minimise risk.

Understandably, many families and the broader community are anxious and fearful of the unknown impacts of the virus.

As we all adjust to the challenges COVID-19 presents, I’d like to personally update you on the precautions TeamKids are taking:

Keeping our families and communities safe and healthy

Now more than ever, it is our duty to remind TeamKids families, children and staff of the importance of protecting against infections by practising good personal and environmental hygiene.

As a COMMUNITY we must band together to slow down the cases of the Coronavirus in this very lucky country of ours. Cover your cough or sneeze and wash your hands thoroughly. If you’re sick, please stay home and away from others.

These measures may seem obvious and simplistic, but we encourage you to take some time to remind your family regularly of how important these small actions can be in keeping everyone safe and healthy.

TeamKids has a clear plan in place if students and/or staff present with flu-like symptoms and meet other identified criteria of COVID-19. We are monitoring any international travel our staff may have taken recently and ensuring they follow our strict reporting guidelines.

TeamKids Venues are CLEAN and safe

We uphold the highest standards when it comes to cleaning our venues and have stringent processes in place. All venues are cleaned prior to each service.

TeamKids staff have been trained in good personal hygiene and upholding good hygiene of the children in their care.

Possible school CLOSURES

In extreme cases and as advised by the DHHS and DET, we may need to temporarily close venues where individuals may have been exposed to COVID-19 or as part of broader control measures.

In the event of venue closures, we will notify families via email and text and will advise of any precautionary measures that are required.

Our Customer Service Team are available to support families by phone between 8am-5pm Monday to Friday and via email info@teamkids.com.au

Helping affected families and TeamKids staff

Anyone who is diagnosed with COVID-19 or is individually asked to self-isolate by a public health authority will receive support from TeamKids wherever we can. The health, safety and well-being of our staff and families is paramount to us and we are committed to helping out wherever we can.

We are in this together and it’s important to be aware of the facts. We are encouraging all members of the community to be alert about the virus but please do not be alarmed.
